The Artist

Hi, im Eve. I am 27 years old and i am specialised in byzantine painting. I draw inspiration from old greek and russian icons,as well from the painters;Andrei Rubliov,Manuil Panselinos,etc.

The name "ikon" comes from the greek word "eikon" wich means image. In orthodox christianity icons are sacred works of art that provide inspiration and a connection to the spiritual world.

An icon is not intended to be a work of art. Instead an icon is "written" by an iconographer as a form of prayer and are intended to be a window between the divin and human.
